As a Safe Provisions security officer contractor, you are partnering with Safe Provisions to provide the following services...
1. To protect premises, assets, and personnel.
2. To maintain a high visibility presence and deter all illegal or inappropriate actions.
3. To detect, deter, observe and report.
We have opportunities in Adrian, Ann Arbor, and Southwest Detroit at this time.

CURRENT LISTING
Prerequisites:
- You have a valid driver’s license (mandatory)
- You can pass a criminal background check (mandatory)
- You have reliable transportation (mandatory)
- You have security experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Responsibilities:
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Sit or stand for long periods of time
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- To report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a trained security officer or relevant position is preferred but not required. (Training is available)
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
Hours:
Up to 40 hours per week.
We also have some on-call/as-needed temporary opportunities.
FYI:
Each security site is contracted with different end dates. This is not a guaranteed long-term opportunity. You are brought on as a contractor (not an employee), therefore there are no benefits available through Safe Provisions. However, we can recommend affordable third-party companies that can provide you with options to secure your own health coverage, etc...
Once you start, you will go through a 30 day "On Job Training", followed by a 30 Day "Evaluation Period". After that time, you may qualify for a pay increase.
